Practice Game with SV Cats

Weather finally cleared up for us today for a great afternoon of baseball. We invited the SV cats to come and play us in a practice game. We played some of the boys in different spots and put some newer faces on the mound to get some experience. The boys did a great job on defense, had a few errors but not many. Our pitchers also did a great job working on their mechanics and increasing their control. The boys continue to hit the ball well. We still have many things to work on, but the season is coming along very nicely so far. We will be traveling over to Cache valley to play the cats at their place in a few weeks. We are scheduled to play the cache valley aggies next week on wednesday. Looking forward to a good practice tomorrow and then down to West Haven on saturday. Good job today boys. Parents/Grandparents thanks for supporting the team.

Great Day for Baseball Season opener

We were able to work some things out today in our first two games of the season. We lost a tough game to the idaho falls chuckers 10-5. We battled back and forth for four innings with the chuckers, always within one run until the bottom of the fifth when one of their boys found a hole in our outfield and scored some their final few runs. Now to put in perspective this Chuckers team is a very good ball club. They were runner ups in the the idaho falls tournament last year and picked up some other talent in the area, this is no excuse why we lost but we did battle with them and I was very impressed how we played for our first game with bigger bases and lead offs. All of the boys did well at the plate and are figuring out this leading off business. The second game against the Ducks (another idaho falls team) was a bit less of a battle. The boys quit over analyzing the game and just went out and played, they did a great job hitting the ball and moving each other around the bases with several base hits. It was great to see them get some confidence back and some success under their belt. This week we have a practice game with the cats on wednesday. Practice on tuesday and thursday and our saturday games are in west haven, should be a fun week of the boys learning and have fun with each other. I love to see the way these boys cheer for each other and help build each others confidence, what a great group of young men. Good job today boys.

Pictures 2010

I decided to do something different for pictures. I am just going to give each of you a CD with all the pictures on it . You will have all of the pictures Shelli and I took, plus the photoshopped ones. This way you can go to Walmart or Snapfish.com or where ever you want and get what ever pictures you want. I will hand these out next week. Thanks Shelli for helping take the pictures. Thank you parents for dropping your kids off.
